The Hagedise are among the oldest race of the Old Wise Ones – mysterious guardians who watch over places, protect paths, and guide those who seek them. They circle silently above the rooftops of Rothenburg, but their presence is not confined to the skies. Vigilant, wise, and unwavering, each Hagedise possesses her own gift, yet all share the same mission: to watch, to protect, and to show the way.
Today they are rarely seen above the rooftops of Rothenburg; that would attract too much attention. So you often find them among the tourists or during an evening or night stroll.
Some carry the gentle, grandmotherly energy of guardians who comfort, strengthen, and protect. Others appear more vigilant, perhaps stricter, and with quiet consistency ensure that karma in your environment takes its just course. Their support is not spectacular, but genuine: it recognizes, orders, heals—and intervenes when balance is lost.

Like all inhabitants here, each Hagedise exists only once. She is crafted from cold porcelain with wire and textile elements. Her arms and legs are movable, and she prefers to stand on wood.
